Going To The Chapel...

Mr. & Mrs., officially.
Reporting live, from the magic carpet:
The new Missus!

My wedding day finally arrived, and after a stormy rehearsal dinner (rain, wind, and thunder) I did not have to paddle board my way down the aisle! The day was perfect in every sense of the word.

As I mentioned before, about two weeks prior to the big day I had to stop running and start what I call the Thanksgiving Face-Stuffing Diet. When you run you drop some pounds, which in my case it wasn't very positive, as my dress fitted rather loosely, and the seamstress had to anchor it even more. So what's a girl to do? Eat. A lot. :) I got to gain a couple of pounds, although the dress was still a bit loose, which was hilarious when I sat down. The Poof, as I call it, would move a bit up and I looked like my dress was swallowing me a little bit. Either way, I had a blast, the day was perfect, and things went by smoothly.
Surprise guest appearance!
One super surprise: my friend Joelle made it to the wedding!!! She looked amazing, and her baby was just a bundle of cuteness all around. As a perk, baby Sara named me and my fiancĂ© husband Ariel and Prince Eric! Joelle was able to not only attend the ceremony, but she also got to enjoy the reception (which was quite fun). She got a nice purple gown, she skipped on wearing a wig or hat (except for the photo booth), and she wore her classic [beautiful] smile.

The Survivors Club
During the evening my fiancé's husband's grandmother, a breast cancer survivor, got to have a heart-to-heart talk with her, which made it all very sweet (photos coming soon!). Two of my bridesmaids got to finally meet in person the reason why I've been running, baking, and fundraising since this summer, and she got very positive messages from other guests all throughout the night. This was her big night out after chemotherapy, so I'm beyond honored that she joined us and enjoyed herself as much as I did.

Now that I'm done with the wedding I get to go back to my regular training schedule. My Honeymoon trip is around the corner, so running adjustments have to be made for me. I also have about a month left to finish raising my funds, and prepping for the marathon. I went on the website recently and I saw the route I have to run. Needless to say how it intimidates me, but I have faith that I'll finish it.

Scared of this Saturday's long run up in the mountains,
-The MRS.
